I've been searching for a round tail with the get up and go of a wider tailed swallow or diamond for some time now. A combination of that quad fish speed and the tight turning raduis of a narrower round tail. This new design is a big move towards that. Rode it this morning and was able to feel that tight, in the pocket turning radius of the round tail as well as that real lift and drive of the slightly fuller outline.
Thinking of calling it the Banjo?

I rode a Banjo last week at a beach break south of Santa Cruz in clean shoulder high surf. My friend had borrowed it as a demo from Mr. Hess. It was a 6'0 x 19.6 x 2.6. It performs exactly as intended its maker. I found it very fast and very maneuverable with excellent hold. In fact, it seemed to take me to another level. I have to admit I was skeptical of the board before riding it due to alternative construction methods and a unique shape, but I am now wanting one for myself.
I'm 6'2, 170#.
Keep up the great work.
