The Journal

Very honored to have a writeup about Hess Surfboards in the current Surfers Journal.
Joni Martin put her heart into writing the article. I'm proud of it and think she captured a window into the ever-changing and diverse search for alternatives. I promise I'm not as mean as I look in the photos. Cheers.

Nice article indeed! You are going to need a bigger shaping bay before you know it with all this publicity you've been getting lately.

No one who sees the pics should drop-in on you :-).

Liked the article and pics. The frontside carve looks awesome with the buried rail.

Danny I saw the recent SJ article on you and your work. You're right the article was beautifully done, your work is mighty pretty as well. Glad you got the coverage and that you will reap some benefits for you and your family.

Yeah, we had an epic time leading up to and including Thanksgiving Day here in town (Kill Devil Hills and Nags Head)on the Outer Banks: 1-4 feet overhead and the wind didn't wreck it. We had offshore wind just right for a full 4 days. It was astounding!

Best to you and keep at it.

Actually was looking back through some Dwell magazines (dec/Jan 2007) which featured your boards and decided to look them up.
wondering if your rides would fair well in the steamy waters off of Chicago...
